What is Peppol, and why is e-invoicing growing?
Peppol is a framework and network for exchanging structured business documents through Access Points. Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 specifies interoperable invoice and credit-note data; UBL XML makes those data machine-readable. A PDF alone is not a structured e-invoice.
European mandates and VAT digitalisation are accelerating structured e-invoicing. They improve data exchange, but invoice delivery is different from payment: neither an imported document nor successful delivery proves that money is outstanding or received.
How Credimigo processes Peppol/UBL invoices
Manually import Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 UBL XML invoices and credit notes. Credimigo validates the structure, checks for duplicates and stores the original XML and any embedded PDF privately.
Credit notes are applied only when the link to the original invoice is unambiguous. Otherwise they require manual review. Importing an invoice never marks it as unpaid: payment status comes from accounting software or your confirmation.
Credimigo is not a certified Peppol Access Point and does not send or receive invoices over the Peppol network. Export the XML from your invoicing software or provider and import it into Credimigo.
AI-assisted invoice follow-up and recovery
The Recovery Score helps prioritise attention; it is not a payment guarantee. Depending on your plan, automated email, SMS, WhatsApp and AI voice help maintain consistent follow-up of confirmed outstanding invoices.
Payments, disputes and payment plans pause follow-up so the next action reflects the actual situation. Keep accounting statuses current and review exceptions. Credimigo is accounts receivable software, not a debt collection agency.
Accounting and Peppol integrations
Moneybird is available with automatic invoice sync. Exact Online: Coming soon. Odoo: Coming soon. Peppol Access Point providers: Coming soon. These planned integrations do not make Credimigo a Peppol Access Point.
